Ah, the travails of working on a product you love. It's an experience that comes with joy, excitement, elation, worry and of course some very tense moments. We recently helped launch Version 2 of Dopetracks.com. What an experience it has been. Last year around this time, we were given an expanded mandate to help with the front-end of the site too, after we have successfully setup their AWS-based backend infrastructure. What started out as a 3 to 4 month project to just rewrite/enhance some existing features, slowly morphed into a full-blown rewrite of the entire site, with tons of new features thrown in. After nearly one year of working together, we are proud to present the new version of the site we launched on September 1st 2010.
Adding to that, we were also given the additional responsibility of fully taking over the setup and maintenance of the web infrastructure of the site, and we have successfully simplified the setup and shifted to a new cloud provider, resulting in significant cost savings for the client. Finally, after some bug fixing and other performance tweaks, the site is now quite stable and faster than ever, and we encourage you to go take a look. We are proud and happy to have successfully finished the job, and we will continue to take care of maintenance and occasional enhancements to the site.
