Speaking at FOSS.IN/2005!

Monday, November 28th, 2005

Finally. I have been preparing for this for a long time, but I never got the time to blog about it. Tonight I will leave for Bangalore to attend FOSS.IN, India’s biggest open source conference. I have been attending this (formerly called Linux-Bangalore) and it’s always been an exhilerating time. This time, I have taken the plunge and am speaking there! Check out the schedules.

Both my talks are on Ruby on Rails, and both of them fall on the same day(30th)! I’m worried that I won’t have enough time to show all the cool stuff that I want to show, but hey, it’s a big event, so speaker time is at a premium. I will try to do my best. I have a feeling that this time will be doubly exhilerating, because I’m representing my start-up company, Viamentis Technologies and it’s like a dream come true. Better things to come!!

If any of you are attending FOSS.IN, please look me up, and I will be glad to chat with you! You can drop me a mail too – I have succeeded in getting wireless working on my debian laptop, so I will be checking my mails often. Leave your yahoo handles, if possible – I will get online and ping you. Gaim rocks! See you at FOSS.IN!

Hackathons add innovation!

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

I have to remember to add bnoopy.typepad.com to my reader. This is the second entry I’m quoting of theirs. This blog post talks about how hackathons induce some real innovation, creativity and good karma. This post is what I’m talking about. I have to remember to do this at Viamentis.
